Soon Yul Kang : Spiritual Journey

On viewing Soon Yul Kang's woven tapestries, the observer is immediately calmed by the still, simplicity of her work. Each of us has a memory of some quiet, meditative space once experienced, but crowded out by our busy lives. Her work places us immediately in that personal space, where seeing and thought come together. There is a universal, Zen-like, character to her tapestries, evoking the pure essence of landscapes, bringing us back to our centre.

Bongsu Park: Emanate

Bongsu Park's work seeks to address the fundamental questions of existence. Rather than applying a scientific or logical approach where analysis seeks resolution, she utilises organic forms to explore the act of creation, birth and decay. Her works include seeds organically sprouting from a hanging pouch, human limbs emerging out of knitted canvases, and cubes – danced with and within.

My works are visual narrative expression towards objects. The method of work consists of burning incense against paper. My choice of methodology relates to traditional Asian culture where we used to burn incense in shamanistic ceremony for better harvest, fertility and health.

Boutique UNIQUELY y is a private label apparel brand for speciality retailers. First established in 2006, it's signature style that is inspired by international travel.

Shinwook Kim : Korean Folk Painting in Photography

The first exhibition of the work of Korean photographer, Shinwook Kim. He is currently studying BA Art & Practice at Goldsmiths College in London. His photographic motifs come from Korean traditional fish paintings of the 17th-19th century. In making this series, he re-visualizes the beautiful stories and dreams which are embodied in traditional Korean folk art.

East meets West: Art and Design Now

Based in Seoul, he has worked on advertisement campaigns for Baskin Robbins, Hyundai, Kia and Samsung etc. His work reflects a uniquely imaginative point of view embracing reality and fantasy.

Running Boy

5 – 19 April 2012

Running Boy includes the work of two Korean artists, KyungJu Kim and YoonMi Jung, creating in cooperation. Based in Seoul, their work uses different techniques and materials, from illustrations and film to sculpture and stitch. The work of duo has a poetic, lyrical quality - simple and warm - expressed through an intriguing variety styles.

Kang Bong Kyu : Nostalgia of Korea, Korean

The exhibition shows two sections from Kang's series 'Korean, Koreanity: Houses and their surroundings' and 'People and Lifestyles'. His work reflects on the richness of the nostalgic aspects of Korean culture, and their identity within the landscapes and portraits such as the traditional architecture, totems and statues, which symbolize their lifestyle.

This was the first solo exhibition in Europe of the work of Korean artist Wook Heo, in association with Oriental VisArt, Geneva. Wook Heo disassembles and reassembles painted images that are neither paintings or relief, and which subvert the meaning of his subject matter.

A group exhibition featuring Bongsu Park, Jin Kim, Ilsu Hwang,Min Yoo and Ilsun Maeng - artists who feature 'grotesque' elements in their work. The exhibition attempted to identify the common genome hidden in the artists differing perspectives.

A Eternal Cycle

Awaken

The first London solo exhibition of Korean artist Hyo Jung Kim – showcased her new paintings that capture that moment on the border between dream and reality, transferring her subconscious dream experiences onto canvas. Starting with the seemingly mundane but sensual folds and crevises of her duvet, the artist uses them as a metaphor for those of the flesh, rendering them in unsettling colours to hint at what lies within.
